CUBhangra with Brian and Calvin coming in for a surprise breakdancing performance at 5:52.

This took place during cultureSHOCK | exposure, Columbia University Asian American Alliance’s annual showcase cultureSHOCK | exposure, featuring nationally recognized and world-famous Asian American artists as well as our best student performers at Columbia.

This show included Magnetic North, Taiyo Na, Alvin Lau, Kelly Tsai, Stone Forest Ensemble, Penn Atma, CU Bhangra, Manhattan Groove Project, Alice & the Hu, and a South Asian American fashion show with designers Samira Atash, Artizan Sarai, and Zehra Hyder.

absolutely useless nostalgic note: This marks Calvin Sun’s and Brian Foo’s last joint breakdancing performance at Columbia after 4 years of performing together.

Ugandan breakdance battle

This was one the breakdance battles at the “Hiphop for the society” show on 6th-may-2007.
The show had a variety of conscious Ugandan rappers e.g Sylvester & Abramz, Swamp kamp,L.G,DE.P.P.I e.t.c plus Uganda breakdancers & hiphop dancers from different parts of Uganda like Gulu,Kampala,Gganda among other places. This Show was organised by ‘Breakdance project, Uganda. A local project that uses breakdance & hiphop for positive social change.

I mean I would love a girl unconditionally if she didnt break but if she could it would make me melt. So do u know any, are u one, or anything else related? Rerun (Fred Berry) from ‘What’s Happening". Used to be a member of the Los Angeles-based dance troupe, "The Lockers." (www.imdb.com). He was on SNL & the coreographer was Toni Basil of ‘Hey Mickey" video. She also appeared with Fred on that same SNL skit back in ’75. He was very active because of the breakdancing. But becareful, he did die of complications of a stroke in 2003.
